this book is about a family of 4 kids and their mom. the main characters are: james, dicey, sammy, and maybeth. in the beginnin of the book, their mom left them in the car witout the keys and no extra money. basically that means the their mom have abandoned them. dicey, the oldest, has to do everythin she can to keep teh family motivated. their goal is to reach their aunt cilla whom they have heard to be a rich lady. for a start, they only had $11.50 on them. as u all know back tehn 5 cents was considered a whole fortune for little kids. so they onli had 11.50 on them to last there whole trip to their aunts place. thruout the wholee trip they had to stop to get food. sammi the lil one, had to b a very slotty kid while the whole trip. dicey lost her patients wit him. james fell of a cliff an that slowed their trip down. they ran outta money an had to wrk for money. rite nows im up to teh part where they r settin off in a boat. hopefully they can get to their aunt in time b4 someonee ends up diein from this wholee thing.
